In the middle of wedding season last fall, and on a random Tuesday before I had to leave for a two week long trip, I met up with these two for a Downtown Wedding Session. We did these a few days before their actual wedding. Seeing as I couldn't be at their wedding for a few reasons, we decided to squeeze in some of their wedding portraits a few days early (the photographer they had AT the wedding is amazing and I love those photos as well).
We picked a few blocks in downtown Louisville to just walk around and find pretty light. I don't often photograph people here in Louisville, so this was like seeing my city with fresh eyes. Honestly, I rarely go downtown for anything so it really was nice to see a new part of the city, and to appreciate the buildings and light patterns. It was also really nice being so close to home and being able to be back with my dogs within 15 minutes of leaving the session. I don't get to enjoy that very often.
