I want to start this blog post by mentioning that it was VERY hard for me to pick images for publication and for the blog post from this wedding. This has been one of my favorite events from the past year and a half since I had the pleasure of photographing it. Which should really tell you how behind I am on blogging. I can't believe I've just been sitting on these photos for that long without sharing more of them. This Boston Estate Wedding has everything that I love. Unique centerpieces, Haunted Mansion, and a couple that truly and deeply love one another.
I first met Samm and Dave in Nantucket for their engagement session a few months before their wedding. I was going out to the island for a bachelorette party and asked them if they wanted to come as well to do their shoot. We met up for lunch and I loved every second of getting to know them. They are such lovely people inside and out, and I love how artistic and creative they both are. They have honestly become some of my favorite people in my work life and my personal life, and I can't wait to get to see them again soon.
Their wedding was held at the Stevans Estate in Osgood Hill. It's about 30 minutes from Boston, and a truly lovely venue with great staff. I considered having my wedding there as well. It's one of the few places I feel like I could photograph weddings at multiple times at and not get bored. The wedding day was a bit rainy so we had to move the ceremony and all of the portraits indoors. It ended up being perfect. Samm and Dave didn't spend a lot of money on decor either. She had a simple bouquet of red roses and they made all of their center pieces, which I'm still obsessed with.
