I don't always do weddings in Kentucky, but when I do they are pretty remarkable. This Summer Wedding in Kentucky from last year is probably one of my all time favorites for a variety of reasons. Not only was it an absolutely beautiful day with beautiful photos, but the real kicker was the way that Josette and Bobby's family treated Olivia and I. From the very beginning they treated us as one of their own, and that's exactly the type of wedding I thrive at. Being able to get to know people throughout the day and have friendly conversations can really aid us in the way that we photograph a wedding.
Josette and I clicked from the first conversation that we had and from that we've built trust and a friendship. Her and Bobby were ready and willing to run around and play in the small rain shower we got during their portraits and even considered jumping in the pool before we left (they didn't just because it was still early). This level of trust in your photographer is so important for the day to run smoothly and you could really miss out on some beautiful images if you don't trust them. Had I not built that trust with Josette and Bobby we may have never had the fun that we did during their wedding.
This was also one of the first weddings of having Olivia as an official member of the team. I've sprinkled some of her photos throughout the blog post -which I don't do for any other second shooter I may have- so see if you can pick out her beautiful candid work.
