Sometimes you meet a couple at a wedding (this wedding) and you just have to photograph them. I was mesmerized by these two when I met them. Not only do they have a style of their own, but they are incredibly sweet humans. I had so much fun roaming around this section of desert with them for this Pioneertown Couples Session. It's literally a little pull off where you can stop and get out and walk around and it's honestly the perfect spot for a quick little session. I also used it for a few of the wedding portraits previously mentioned, and I have zero regrets. I think the best part about photographing these two is how creative they both are. They were willing to get dirty and roll around in the dirt. They climbing a little (mostly because they wanted to, not because I asked) and really know how to strike a pose. Even when they're on top of rocks they still looked fabulous.
If you've never heard of Pioneertown it's basically an old movie set. There are restaurants and little shops but the big appeal is that it was used in movies back in the day. It's like an old western town. I definitely recommend checking it out if you're ever near the Joshua tree area and of course eating at Pappy and Harriets. The little pull off we used for photos is past the town by a few miles if you're looking for a place to walk around and see some cool boulders and desert things.
