In 2020, my friend Tay and I had planned on hosting a boudoir retreat in Kansas City. The problem with that is - the pandemic and lockdowns started a week before we were supposed to host it. Obviously, for everyones safety and ours we put the retreat on the back burner until it was a bit safer and we knew more about covid to safely host a gathering. With retreats I never want to put anyone at risk (or their families) so being as safe as possible is of upmost importance. Especially now.
Anyways, we did two days of shooting in Tays studio. The first day Tay dazzled us with her knowledge with a presentation and then guided our attendees through posing a single person in the studio. I've posted a few of those on my insta feed but will probably throw a few more into my stories soon. I don't do a lot of boudoir so probably won't end up blogging that one.
On day two I led the shoot with a couple (Tays assistant, Grace with her boyfriend) and guided everyone through more intimate posing with a couple. Granted, I don't do the type of intimate posing that is popular - but I love it all the same. My favorite thing is to watch the way people naturally interact with one another in a pose and then build on it from there. It's important to me that my posing is as natural as possible to the couple, which is why my posing can look so different from set to set.
But enjoy the set - and if you'd like to book a couples boudoir session head on over to my contact form and send me a message!
