I want to start by prefacing this with the fact that these photos happened in Montreat. A very small town outside of Asheville. Asheville is just more well known.
Ami and I now have a six year history of knowing one another. Parts of it are long and complicated but she is one of the best friends I've ever had. We lived together for going on three years (and I have to say I'm still a bit jealous she decided to marry Vince and leave me to my bachelorette ways) and I was able to help with and watch her daughter, Jacie, grow from a tiny baby to the firecracker she is today. It's been a journey and one that I'm so happy I had.
Like most couples in 2020, Ami and Vince had to drastically change their plans. The plan was always to elope in Montreat - but the date had to be moved back several months. The move back was serendipitous though, because the weather and flora/fauna were perfect. All in all the day was everything I had ever hoped for my best friend marrying her forever partner.
They also decided to tell Jacie during the elopement she was going to be a big sister, and you can see that she wasn't quite as thrilled at first as everyone had hoped. Don't worry, her biggest issue at the time was that she would have to share or that it would be a boy. She has since gotten over both of these things and is excited to be a big sister in a few months.
